REPRESENTING OPHTHALMOLOGISTS IN ALBERTA
The Eye Physicians and Surgeons Association of Alberta (EPSAA) is an association dedicated to encouraging the study of ophthalmology amongst our members while encouraging research into diseases of the eye and improvement of eye care in Alberta.
Our members include practicing ophthalmologists, ophthalmology resident physicians, and honourary members, including retired ophthalmologists. We are here to provide information to interested parties and Alberta's government about vision care services within our province.
Have questions about eye and vision care? Please view our FAQs to see commonly asked questions about ophthalmology and eye health.
EPSAA is a non-profit society and has been registered since 1978. We originally named our organization the Ophthalmological Society of Alberta (OSA), changing our name in 2010 to represent our association better. We welcome donations from our members and the public to help us continue to advocate for excellent eye and vision care in the province of Alberta.
Representing Ophthalmologists In Alberta
Our association is here to represent our members in negotiations between ophthalmologists in Alberta and the Alberta Medical Association, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, the Canadian Ophthalmological Society, and other organizations in matters pertaining to EPSAA and our members. View our advocacy page for more information about our ophthalmological causes.
EPSAA has two subcommittees dedicated to managing and organizing member nominations and our website. If you have further questions about our nomination process or what our website subcommittee is responsible for, please contact us.
